Rentfree rewards you for smart, everyday shopping—whether you're grabbing coffee around the corner or shopping online from home. By simply using your linked card at participating Rentfree merchants, you earn points automatically and unlock even greater rewards on your rent.

1. Link Your Card Once

Get started by linking your debit or credit card in the Rentfree app. This enables us to automatically track qualifying purchases—no codes, no scanning, no hassle.

2. Shop In-Store or Online

You can earn rewards when shopping:

• In-store at local merchants, visible in the Near You tab

• Online through partnered brands, visible in the Online tab

Every transaction at a participating merchant earns you Rentfree points when paid with your linked card.

3. How You Earn Points

• Base offer: Every Rentfree merchant gives you 1 point per $1 spent, always.

• Boosted offers: Many merchants run time-limited offers with up to 10x points or more.

• Bonus offers: Some often reward:

  • Your first visit

  • Shopping streaks

  • Hitting spend thresholds

You can browse all current offers in the app and keep an eye out for new ones.

4. Clever Shopping Unlocks Your Rent Rewards

Here’s where things get smarter:
To fully unlock your monthly rent rewards, simply make 5 qualifying purchases in a calendar month using your linked card at Rentfree merchants.

• These can be everyday buys like meals, drinks, or essentials

• Once 5 transactions post, your rent rewards are automatically cleared and credited to your account

• Until then, rent rewards show as pending after each rent payment

You'll see rent points accumulating as you pay rent, but they become available only after meeting the qualifying activity.

5. Automatic Tracking, Clear Rewards

• You can track every point earned in your recent activity

• Points usually appear instantly but may take time to clear depending on the merchant

• You’ll see a clear breakdown of base, boosted, and bonus points—plus your rent reward status

6. Secure by Design

Rentfree uses encrypted, PCI-compliant technology to link your card and track transactions—we don’t charge your card. Your data is used solely to identify qualifying purchases and is never shared with merchants.
